This bright red leather mat has two, identical suede sides. I generally remove my 11.5″ mat from my acrylic platter and place the 6.5″ mat down when I want to play through several of my 45s. If you have a dedicated turntable for 45s, this mat would be ideal. The main reason I developed this mat was because I found it difficult to get a grip on the edge of the 45 to lift if off the 11.5″ leather mat. With the 6.5″ mat, you will have a slight overhang, as with the 11.5″ platter mats, for easy removal of the record. The center hole is 3/8″, fitting all spindles.
